A growing, well-established manufacturing operation is looking for a Quality Engineer who knows how to turn process chaos into controlled, repeatable excellence. This role sits at the center of quality, operations, and continuous improvement—and actually has the authority to make things better (imagine that).
You’ll own and evolve the Quality Management System while driving real improvements on the floor, not just in PowerPoint.
What you’ll do
- Lead quality documentation and execution: PPAPs, FAIs, capability studies
- Build and track KPIs that matter (not vanity metrics)
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D (non-negotiable)
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits
- Manage calibration programs and ensure audit readiness
- Partner cross-functionally to improve processes, reduce defects, and raise the bar
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 2 years in quality and/or continuous improvement within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (audit experience a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, MSA, capability studies
- Comfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience with ERP and QMS systems
- Background working with steel, stainless steel, or aluminum preferred
