We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our manufacturing client's team. In this role, you will manage vendor relationships, process payments, and keep our accounting systems accurate and up to date, while also supporting the team with administrative tasks. This is a fully on site, permanent role in Des Peres Monday-Friday 8a-5p. This role offers up to 100% employer-covered healthcare, dental and vision insurance for their employees!
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage vendor setup and records, including collecting and maintaining W-9/W-8 forms.
- Process, code, and post invoices for materials, production, freight, credit cards, and miscellaneous expenses.
- Lead weekly A/P meetings, resolve invoice issues, and oversee check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports, researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Build strong vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding invoices and account balances.
- Enter and maintain purchase orders, sales orders, and updates in Sage ERP/CRM systems.
- Prepare and distribute payment summaries, memos, correspondence, and order documentation.
- Provide backup support for phones, invoicing, and other office tasks as needed.
Who You Are
- 5 years of accounting experience with longevity
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving thinker with excellent attention to detail.
- Skilled communicator, both written and verbal, with a professional and positive attitude.
- Proficient in 10-key data entry, with working knowledge of Excel and Outlook (Sage ERP experience a plus).
- Dependable, self-motivated, and known for strong attendance and punctuality.
- Comfortable working pretty manually with fine-print documents, numbers, and data accuracy.
- Education: High school diploma required; college coursework highly preferred.
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
