Admissions Coordinator
Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator manages the admissions process from referral receipt through completed admission and scheduling of the Initial IRP. This role ensures accurate data entry, eligibility verification, authorization coordination, and timely communication across internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:
- Receive and process referrals via email, website, fax, and phone; promptly contact peers to begin the admissions process
- Create and maintain peer records in the company’s EMR and CRM in accordance with established workflows
- Complete peer profiles including program selection, status, screening questions, and required documentation
- Verify eligibility, mental health diagnoses, functional impairment, and insurance coverage through PROMISE or applicable county funding sources
- Request, track, and document authorizations for applicable payors; enter authorization and billing information accurately into Credible
- Ensure admission records are complete, compliant, and audit-ready prior to admission
- Schedule the Initial IRP with the assigned IRP Specialist and coordinate a smooth handoff to the clinical team
- Monitor for completion of the Initial IRP and review documentation for accuracy, required elements, and signatures
- Update Salesforce and Credible to reflect admission completion and admission date
- Track and report admissions activity and outcomes through an established admissions scorecard
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in admissions, care coordination, or a related administrative healthcare role; preferred
- Experience with insurance verification and authorization management preferred
- Familiarity with behavioral health, Medicaid programs, or peer support services a plus
- Proficiency with EMR and CRM systems; experience with Credible or Salesforce a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and professional communication
- Comfortable managing multiple admissions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
