Treatment Delivery & Simulation:
- Linear accelerators (daily warm‑ups, QA)
- CT simulation
- Immobilization device fabrication
Oncology Information Systems / EMR:
- ARIA preferred
Clinical Setting:
- Conventional radiation oncology environment
- Exposure to radiation (ALARA), infectious diseases, blood/body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals
Work Environment:
- Close‑proximity clinical workspace
- Adherence to universal precautions and safety protocols required
Responsibilities
- Review patient history, physician orders, and the radiation therapy treatment plan.
- Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and expectations to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Deliver radiation therapy according to the physician’s prescription and treatment plan.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic treatment documentation in ARIA.
- Perform daily warm‑ups and QA on treatment machines and the CT simulator; identify and report equipment abnormalities to the Medical Physicist or Chief Therapist.
- Create and maintain immobilization devices and perform CT simulation.
- Monitor patients for clinical changes, complications, or unusual reactions and report findings to nursing staff and/or the Radiation Oncologist.
- Work independently when needed, including occasional days without a co‑therapist.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technologist Program.
- ARRT (T) certification or ARRT board‑eligible.
- Active Florida Radiation Therapist License.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Minimum one year of experience required (not open to new graduates).

- Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 per year (based on experience).
