ROLE OVERVIEW:

Got an eagle eye for detail and a passion for doing things just right? As a Quality Assurance Technician at Pedone Pinsa, you’ll be our behind-the-scenes hero – making sure every crust, every batch, every box meets deliciously high standards we’re proud to deliver. You’ll work with our production pros, operations team, and leadership – keeping things in check, double-checking the checks, and helping us get even better every day. From tracking the details to improving the process, you’ll be a part of what makes our pinsa top-notch.

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

  • High School Diploma or Food Manufacturing experience.
  • Intrinsic motivation to be results-oriented.
  • Have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Software/ Programs.
  • Possess valuable, relatable, and proficient leadership skills; ability to communicate with team.
  • Attention to detail that will impact profitability.
  • Ability to manage time through multi-tasking and managing several projects at once. Must be flexible, work well under pressure, and easily adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and other food safety principles.
  • HACCP Certification and SQF Practitioner certificate (Pedone Pinsa willing to train on these)
  • Entail strong communication, along with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • High levels of personal accountability; an ability to be responsible for your own actions and personal attendance (work scheduled hours, arrive on time, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, proactive, curious, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions effectively.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours. Ability to lift up to 55lbs occasionally, 20lbs routinely.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish

RESPONSIBILITIES – HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE VISION include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance procedures at the direction of the Quality Manager.
  • Is the food safety and quality champion present on the shift.
  • Performs hands-on inspections.
  • Prepare reports on the results of quality inspections.
  • Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are made.
  • Reviews, approves, & files food safety, quality, safety, and other completed paperwork.
  • Support team by being available to help address any and all day-to-day items that come up on the job.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, SQF, and GMP.
  • Perform organoleptic testing as required (wheat/soy allergens).
  • Provide quality and food safety related coaching to coworkers and other staff as appropriate.
  • Identify and address production issues and area(s) for improvement.
  • Monitor condition of equipment and machinery in the production facility.
  • Proactive and timely communication of concerns, issues, and ideas for improvement.
  • Assists in electronic record system verification and execution.
  • Maintain a clean and food-safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
