Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume calls and coordinate office communication flow.
- Greet and assist visitors; ensure accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule appointments, tests, and follow-ups; verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations.
- Collect and reconcile patient payments; prepare and review billing sheets for accuracy.
- Direct billing inquiries and ensure timely submission of outpatient billing sheets.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver courteous, professional service.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 3 years of recent medical office experience preferred
Experience Industry: Healthcare
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer systems; prior experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, insurance regulations, and safety practices preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and handle stressful situations professionally.
- Must be able to travel to satellite office during the week. Mileage is reimbursable.
