What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Manager position at Peco Foods?

Essential Job Functions/Duties: |

1. Direct supervisor for shipping staff. |
|
2. Verify weekly payroll time sheets for all employees in the department. |
|
3. Monitor all shipping and receiving records. |
|
4. Check all inventory levels against production. |
|
5. Monitor all pallet inventories to make sure we have a good supply of stock. |
|
6. Check on all forklifts and ordering of parts to insure proper credit for part suppliers. |
|
7. Work closely with the maintenance department to keep our forklifts and pallet jacks are kept up to date and in safe working order. |
|
8. Monitor our outgoing pictures of loaded trucks to ensure the customers receive the best looking product we can possibly send out. |
|
9. Work closely with the sales and production teams to ensure we have all products needed to finish all loads. |
|
10. Keep track of all inventories, fresh and frozen items. |
|
11. Performs various special tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager. |
|
12. Comply with all written corporate and plant policies. |
|
13. Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies. |
|
14. Follow the written specification for packing and labeling of products. |
|
15. Identify and report any suspicious situations to the plant manager. Abnormal situation would be:
