What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINT MECHANIC position at Peco Foods?
****Maintenance workers work 6 days a week.****
Position summary
Performs routine preventative maintenance and make minor repairs as needed to plant equipment.
Essential Functions
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Standing/Walking 100% of the workday.
- Lifting and pulling various weights based upon machine and task at hand; no greater than 75lbs without assistance.
- Carry a waist tool belt (approximately 15-45 lbs.) with all tools/supplies needed for daily work
- Physically inspect products for both naturally occurring and processing defects.
- Be able to set up, operate, adjust, and maintain production equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have basic knowledge of industrial and electrical circuits.
- Follow the written specifications for packaging and labeling of products
- Be familiar WITH AND practice Lock out tag out safety procedures on a daily basis
- Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant gmp policies
