Steward - The Inn at Spanish Bay (Full Time)

The Steward properly stores and rotates food and nonperishable items; provides clean utensils, kitchen equipment and outlet wares, ensuring a safe and clean work environment for all kitchen personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supply clean dishes, glassware, silverware and equipment for all restaurants and kitchens.
• Stock and requisition cleaning supplies as needed.
• Clean floors in work areas and frequently check floors in bars for spills.
• Assist with inventory of china, flatware and glassware.
• Perform pest control procedures in all kitchens.
• Clean and store kitchen equipment.
• Remove discarded items and equipment from loading dock to ensure access and safe passage.
• Keep trash compactor area clean.
• Report equipment failures to supervisor, before initiating a work order.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
• Knows models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards).
• Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Some knowledge of sanitation and familiarity with cleaning chemicals.
• Must be self-motivated and possess good lifting skills.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
