Fitness Instructor - Spanish Bay Club (On Call)

The Fitness Instructor provides instruction for fitness and aerobic classes.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Instruct fitness classes, at high level of proficiency.
• Set-up and remove class equipment.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in aerobic studio.  Keep class tools clean.
• Fill-in for other instructors, whenever possible.
• Maintain current certification through continuing education.
• Present aerobic routines that are safe and effective.
• Motivate participants and recognize their progress.
• Communicate basic guidelines regarding injury prevention and effectiveness throughout the class.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.  Assist with special events as needed.

Absolutely Required Skills: 

• ACE, AFAA, ACSM or related college degree and current certification in CPR.
• Minimum 1 year experience with responsibilities in fitness class instruction.
• Working knowledge of personal computer helpful.
• Must be capable of performing fitness routines and using weights at the highest levels of fitness.  Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for fitness required.
