The Pastry Intern ensures the highest quality preparation and presentation of fine pastries in all Pebble Beach outlets, Banquets, and special parties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow recipe cards exactly to prepare pastries and baked goods.
- Discuss daily events and production schedule with the pastry chef or supervisor.
- Rotate food in coolers, dry storage and personal mise en place, to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
- Clean cooking surfaces and equipment.
- Assist in plating up desserts/baked goods in pastry shop.
- Set-up mise en place for the next day.
- Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
- Desire to deliver world-class service.
- Willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Have a positive attitude and be a good teammate.
- Able to operate typical pastry tools and equipment – knowledge of ingredients and preparation required.
- An understanding of pastry shop operations and ordering ingredients is helpful.
- Must have basic fundamental baking skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited culinary program.
