Product Development Assistant
The ideal candidate:
You’re a self-starter, a doer, and most importantly you are highly organized. You don’t like to be idle, you’re always up for creating new, innovative ways to keep things organized, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. You are not necessarily a designer, but you appreciate and have a good eye for design. Most importantly, you like the idea of collaborating with a talented and diverse team in a driven yet fun open office environment. You're interested in developing consumer goods (baby, pet, stationery, home) with overseas partners and helping manage the product life cycle from start (renderings & pitching) to finish (goods in customers' hands).

What you’ll be doing:
You will report directly to the Senior Product Development & Operations Manager and perform various administrative and design tasks.
Specifics of the position:
• Maintain and update project timelines
• File and organize communication on new products to ensure smooth and timely flow of information. Consolidate information from multiple sources to facilitate supervisors’ and team member review.
• Organize and facilitate the review and ultimate approval of product samples and product materials from factory
• File and organize pricing information for new and existing items
• Coordinate with foreign language translators to translate copy
• Maintain and update New Product Development Airtable base
• Assist with varying administrative tasks including factory communication, maintaining master excel lists for HK team, tracking & unpacking samples, maintaining sample organization in office
• Complete & maintain database of Shipping Marks & Bill of Materials of all items for timely use with vendors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- Familiar with InDesign is a plus
- Strong organizational skills a must
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under short deadlines
- Comfortable commuting to Industry City in Brooklyn 2 times per week (T/TH)
Base Salary: $50,000
