The junior designer will have the opportunity to work as a member of the design team on various products. Projects include but are not limited to: product research and development, designing product specs, product renderings, and packaging. The individual can expect to work independently and in a team to learn how to apply creative concepts in a corporate setting, while gaining technical and leadership skills. They will experience a company that values quality work, customer service and efficient/affordable solutions in an environment that promotes personal and professional growth.
Job Tasks:
• Various design projects including product research and development, creating product specs, product renderings, and packaging.
• Working with the team to brainstorm new product and design ideas, and to critique each other’s work.
• Creating mock ups of new products for customers.
• Helping with design presentations for the sales and marketing teams.
• Working as a team with the other designers to ensure projects are on track with timelines.
Qualifications:
• Completed degree in Fine Arts / Graphic Design / Communication Design / Illustration
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is a MUST
• Very strong organization skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under short deadlines
• Self-starter, proactive and motivated
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Work
• Strong illustration skills a plus!
• Comfortable commuting to Industry City in Brooklyn 2 times per week (T/TH)
Salary: $50,000
