The Director of Admissions upholds the organization’s standards for professionalism, responsiveness, and resident satisfaction, and represents the facility as a key ambassador within the community and among regional care partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record information concerning inquiries, admissions, and discharges
- Daily census reports and reporting
- Coordinate the inquiry process
- Facilitates the admission process including completing required paperwork
- Notification and reporting of admission updates
- Maintains monthly records of census and other necessary reporting records
- Remains in contact with new residents; perform 3-month post move-in visit, surveys residents for satisfaction
- Represents facility at community events, open houses other special and public relation events
- Works with Case Managers locally and in surrounding areas.
- Prior experience in healthcare admissions or a related role within long-term care, senior living, or hospital environments.
- Strong understanding of referral coordination, eligibility processes, and census management.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills with the ability to support residents and families with professionalism and compassion.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple admissions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with computers, electronic documentation systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with case managers, referral partners, and community organizations.
- Demonstrated reliability, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism.
