We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support our Mount Dora operations (Skymark Roofing). This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational financial insight across a fast-paced, project-based construction environment.

Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including:
- General ledger
- Accounts payable & receivable
- Payroll
- Month-end / year-end close
- Prepare and analyze:
- P&L statements
- Balance sheets
- Cash flow reports
- Executive-level financial reporting
- Manage job costing & project profitability analysis across roofing projects (labor, materials, subcontractors, overhead)
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital
- Ensure compliance with:
- GAAP
- Construction accounting standards (e.g., percentage-of-completion)
- State and tax regulations
- Partner with leadership to provide strategic financial insights supporting growth and acquisitions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–7 years of accounting experience (construction/roofing strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Job costing
- Project-based accounting
- Financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP)
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA or CPA-track preferred (not required)
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, roll-up / private equity-backed environment
