The Team You Will Be Joining
- As one of the United States premier state military organizations, this Texas State agency provides the Governor and the President with ready forces in support of state and federal authorities both domestically and internationally. The Adjutant General of Texas, the states senior military official appointed by the governor, leads them and prompts coordination with the Texas Army National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, the Texas State Guard, and the Domestic Operations Task Force. They are customer service-oriented and works to serve and protect Texas communities.
- Coordinates the compilation, composition, organization, and editing of data, research findings, and other relevant information.
- Conducts moderate research on supply chain topics involving partners in the United States and overseas.
- Researches and provides information on sourcing, supplier efficacy, and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Reviews and summarizes information related to global supply chains, including connections involving foreign adversaries.
- Provides research and context on critical infrastructure risks related to supply chain dependencies and foreign adversary connections.
- Assists in drafting committee reports, legislative deliverables, summaries, briefing materials, and supporting documentation.
- Writes and edits reports in a formal state government style with strong attention to grammar, clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Organizes complex information into clear written materials for review by leadership, committees, or other stakeholders.
- Ensures written materials are complete, well-structured, and aligned with applicable legislative requirements and project timelines.
- Experience in technical writing, report writing, policy writing, research writing, or a closely related field.
- Ability to write, edit, and proofread documents using comprehensive grammar and professional formatting.
- Experience preparing reports or written materials in a government, legislative, policy, legal, research, or public-sector style preferred.
- Ability to conduct moderate research, evaluate information, and summarize findings clearly and accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to compile and structure data, research, and supporting documentation.
- Ability to understand and communicate information related to supply chains, sourcing strategies, critical infrastructure, or risk topics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, leadership, committees, or project stakeholders.
- Rate: $38.00/hr.
- Length of Engagement: June 2026 - September 30th, 2026
- Days/Hours: Monday - Friday (Standard Business Hours | 40 hours/week)
