The Team You Will be Joining

- Develops and issues procurement solicitations in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
- Analyzes vendor proposals and supports evaluation teams throughout the review process
- Coordinates the drafting, renewal, and amendment of contracts to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Monitors procurement activities for compliance with governing regulations and internal standards
- Collaborates with the State Purchasing Division as required to support procurement efforts
- Assists in the preparation and review of procurement documentation, ensuring completeness and adherence to guidelines
- Maintains organized procurement records and tracks contract timelines to support effective contract management
- Provides support for standard purchasing processes
- Ensures all procurement activities align with relevant codes, policies, and agency requirements
- Experience working within a state government environment
- Proficiency with SHARE (Statewide Human Resources, Accounting, and Management Reporting System)
- Demonstrated experience with state procurement codes and SHARE processes, with the ability to work independently with minimal training
- Experience supporting fiscal year-end activities, including reconciliations and closeout tasks
- Ability to audit purchase orders (POs) and interpret contract terms and requirements
- Prior State of New Mexico government experience
- Rate: $26.50/hour
- Short-term Contract assignment until July 2026
