Human Resources Manager: Recruiting and Talent Development.


Position Summary: This a leadership position (future Director of Recruiting, Talent development) reports and partners with CEO to focus efforts on human resources services and business growth strategy, has insights on business events that will unfold in the future. Guides decision making processes and positively impacts on the results of the organization by recruiting, retaining, developing, and rewarding the industry’s best talent in a manner that is cost-efficient and compliant. Leads the development and maintenance of relationships with all three facility (and future acquisition) execution partners within Company (Manufacturing & Hospitality) for the Talent team. This individual must be innovative, detail-driven, persistent, an excellent and highly skilled communicator and of good character. Serves as a regional lead during the system strategic planning process ensuring regional considerations are factored into system recruitment plans. Provides leadership during the creative brainstorming and planning process of initiatives relevant to assigned region


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Scout and hire human talent for all departments all companies in working closely with department manager to meet the monetary/hourly department budget.
  2. Gain trust of CEO and has CEO back in employee relationship management process. Strong advocate and fierce protector of meritocracy – speed and results. Believer in workforce 4E’s -Energized, Engaged, Efficient and Execution.
  3. Guides CEO in areas such as compensation, training, recruiting, workforce planning, conflict management, lead and maintain performance management process (PMP).
  4. Responsible for operational human resource issues including job description development, hiring, retention, succession planning, transfers and communications.
  5. Create and implement new projects and creative ideas that help improve the digital experience of talent, showing a direct impact on conversion rates.
  6. Understands and plays an active role in the development of strategies related to digital content, conferences, events, career site, campaigns, referral program, collegiate and projects relevant to talent strategy objectives.
  7. Partners with regional execution partners to develop and execute strategies to meet Talent Strategy objectives.

  9. Works to understand stakeholders’ needs and constraints (timelines, budgets, volumes, etc.).
  10. Analyze, develop and implement common policies at all companies including company handbook, time off request, medical leaves, etc.
  11. Administer calculations and processing related to pay adjustments, final pay checks, pay cards and pay differentials as necessary.
  12. Analyze the reasons for payroll errors and work with Department Managers and CFO to resolve issues.
  13. Monitors key metrics (i.e. turnover, attendance, vacations, etc.) to assist the location and/or functional area in effectively managing their workforce to maximize productivity and overall effectiveness

  6. Work Ethics: Willing to minimum of 9 to10 hours a day in and sometimes more, as needed. This person has the instinct to know when to ramp up their workday to drive the speed to get the result for the company.
  7. Trust and Advocacy: Trustworthy, has CEO and department manager’s back, strong advocate and protect company culture of speed and results.
  8. Speed and results focus for all companies: This position requires reliable, career minded, smart, driven, quick to respond on its feet, diligent, detailed oriented, numbers driven, entrepreneur which extends management loyalty.


QUALIFYING & REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. BS degree and entrepreneur sprint a must. Ability to build strong trust and loyalty with company owners. 
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or related industry. The ability to travel to all facilities to address any issue that arise.
  3. Background in the manufacturing industry. Proven ability to influence internal and external decision makers.
  4. Results oriented. Strong communication and sales skills.
  5. Strong team player. Comfortable and efficient working independently.
  6. Bilingual Highly Preferred - (English/Spanish)


Position is in Elgin IL, with occasional travel to other sites (WI, Michigan and Texas). Ability to frequently travel domestic and International to visit potential new acquisition partners.
