PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a mechanically inclined and safety-focused PMT Field Service Specialist to support a utility project in Greer, SC. This first-shift role offers hands-on fieldwork, technical training, and a generous attendance-based bonus program.

Your Role and Impact
As a PMT Field Service Specialist, you’ll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining gas meters and regulators. You’ll work outdoors in varying conditions, interact with utility customers, and ensure safe and accurate service delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install and test gas meters and regulators, ensuring proper functionality.

• Identify and replace worn or defective parts.

• Detect and report gas leaks and abnormal operating conditions.

• Safely turn gas supplies on and off and relight appliances.

• Use hand tools to perform installations and repairs.

• Collect and record data using company-provided handheld devices.

• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

• Meet daily installation goals and communicate professionally with customers.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Must pass MVR check, DOT PHMSA-compliant drug screen, and background check.

• Ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours/day in all weather conditions.

• Must pass all pre-employment assessments and OQ training/certification.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs using hand tools and perform physical tasks.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in natural gas field service operations.

• Experience installing or repairing gas meters.

• Familiarity with gas appliance safety and operations.

• Comfortable using technology and handheld devices.

• Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• Training Provided: All OQ training, certifications, uniforms, and equipment supplied

• Safety Gear: Steel-toe or composite safety shoes required; all other PPE provided

Pay Details: 22.00 per hour
