Pay Details: $26.98 per hour

Position Summary
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Set Up/Tear Down Technician to support laboratory functions within a leading manufacturing environment. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a vital part in assembling, testing, and maintaining industrial equipment—contributing directly to the performance and reliability of cutting-edge chillers used worldwide.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of the Engineering Laboratory Services team, you will:
- Perform set-up and tear-down of large, water-cooled chillers.
- Connect and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
- Operate and maintain test setups, identifying and resolving malfunctions.
- Calibrate and manage test instrumentation and lab equipment.
- Record and report test data accurately and consistently.
- Manage lab supplies and ensure a safe, efficient work environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- At least 3 years of experience using hand and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to move and lift up to 35 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work under moderate supervision.
- Experience with HVAC systems or large commercial/industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with 460-3-60 electrical systems and medium voltage power.
- Knowledge of pumps, VFDs, boilers, refrigerant handling, and EPA certification.
- Experience in instrumentation setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Strong PC skills and experience with data entry and test documentation.
