Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour

About The Role
As an Operations Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring new service requests and operational issues are handled efficiently and accurately. Your work directly supports timely service activation, accurate billing, and a seamless customer experience—helping ensure communities receive essential water services without disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new service inquiries received through multiple channels including notifications, emails, and exception cases
- Research and analyze customer requests to determine the ability to provide water and wastewater services
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners via phone and email regarding service availability and application status
- Investigate and resolve Business Process Exception (BPEMS) cases related to meter readings and technical data errors
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve account discrepancies and prevent billing delays
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely resolution of customer and operational issues
- Utilize systems such as SAP (if applicable) to manage data, track cases, and support workflows
- Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, including outbound phone communication
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and resolve account-related issues
- Basic math skills for calculations and data validation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with SAP or similar systems
- Background in utilities, operations support, or service coordination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
