Lead the Line on Aerospace Delivery: Operations Lead | Onsite, Windsor Locks, CTRole Summary & ImpactPDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Operations Lead to drive delivery assurance for critical programs. In this highly visible, onsite role, you’ll bridge program management and factory execution—ensuring on-time delivery, resolving constraints on the manufacturing floor, and coordinating recovery actions that keep complex aerospace programs moving.What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) to customer request dates for military programsObtain and validate delivery commitmentsEstablish and execute recovery plansSupport delivery assurance activities end to endMaintain an active presence on the manufacturing floorUnderstand material WIP positions and collaborate with supervisors and managers to deliver productProvide detailed line-of-balance updates with robust action plans for production hardwareCommunicate significant delivery risks and issues to Value Stream Leadership, including customer impactDrive detailed recovery actions with suppliers and internal manufacturing sites to restore delivery schedulesFacilitate burndown of Supplier Requested Information (SRI) and First Article Inspection (FAI) itemsSupport material substitution or last-time-buy activities to ensure component availabilityProvide inputs into the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processSupport Product Value Streams with rate readiness assessments, gap identification, and action plansHelp maintain production capacity alignment (labor, equipment, tooling) with short- and long-term demandCoordinate closely with Value Stream Leaders, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teamsRequired QualificationsExperience in operations, program management, project management, or delivery assuranceStrong communication skills with the ability to engage both factory leadership and customer-facing teamsExperience working directly on or closely with manufacturing operationsAbility to analyze production constraints and drive corrective actionsThis position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
