The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Financial Controller to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, cash flow management, and business performance. This role requires someone who can operate both tactically and strategically in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting functions: A/R, A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger
- Lead month-end close: journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation
- Maintain cash flow tracking and short-term forecasting
- Oversee customer invoicing, progress billing, and collections
- Interface with external accounting firm for year-end corporate and personal tax preparation
- Coordinate liability, property, and health insurance renewals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with financial management software tools (e.g. QuickBooks) is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis tools) Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
