Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities for multiple divisions.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and consolidate financials across multiple entities.
- Prepare accurate internal and external financial statements.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and support auditors during fieldwork.
- Supervise accounting staff responsible for billing, collections, and accounts payable.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of daily accounting transactions.
- Participate in year-end physical inventory counts.
- Oversee treasury-related activities and ensure proper recording of all cash transactions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning initiatives.
- Stay informed on new accounting standards and ensure adherence to US GAAP.
- Build deep knowledge of key accounting processes (billing, collections, cash application, AP, credit analysis, customer setup).
- Serve as a reliable resource for internal teams, customers, and vendors.
- Support various surveys, audits, and compliance requirements (401k audit, sales & use tax audits, Census Bureau surveys, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling).
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning/reporting tools.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
