What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Content Creator position at Payva?
About Payva
Payva is the Buy Now, Pay Later platform built for the creator economy. We empower coaches, educators, and creators to scale their businesses while helping their clients invest in growth with flexible payment options. As we grow, we’re looking for a creative storyteller who can capture the energy, vision, and vibe of our brand through powerful video content.
The Role
We’re looking for a Content Videographer & Editor to join us on a contract basis in Minneapolis. You’ll be the creative force behind our video presence—taking ideas from concept to final cut. From social media clips to product feature releases, you’ll help bring Payva’s story to life in ways that resonate with creators and their communities.
This is an in-person role, as you’ll be hands-on with shoots, collaborating closely with our team in the North Loop.
What You’ll Do
- Creative Strategy: Work with our marketing and leadership team to concept and plan video campaigns across platforms.
- Videography: Shoot high-quality, engaging content for marketing, promotional campaigns, product launches, and social media.
- Editing: Own the full post-production process—editing, sound, color, and motion graphics where needed—to deliver polished final assets.
- AI Video Creation: Experiment with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Runway, Pika Labs, Synthesia, Stable Video) to create unique, cutting-edge video assets that push Payva’s creative edge.
- Content Variety: Produce everything from short-form social clips (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) to longer promotional/brand videos.
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure all content aligns with Payva’s brand aesthetic, tone, and storytelling style.
- Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with creative trends in video marketing, AI content creation, and creator culture, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a videographer/editor with a strong portfolio of social, brand, or promotional work.
- Expertise in video production equipment, lighting, and sound.
- Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar).
- Strong creative vision with the ability to tell stories that connect emotionally and drive engagement.
- Comfortable managing shoots end-to-end, from pre-production to final delivery.
- Bonus: Familiarity with AI video creation platforms and interest in experimenting with emerging AI-driven creative workflows.
- Extra bonus: Experience with creator/tech/startup brands.
