In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $105,763 - $166,200 annually RSU's. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
Responsible for giving legal advice and assistance to Paychex with respect to labor and employment matters.
Responsibilities
Provides labor and employment law legal advice and related assistance.
- Provides legal support and advice to the HR outsourcing business division and client-facing HR professionals.
- Identifies ongoing training and support needs for the client-facing HR professionals.
- Creates and presents trainings to HR professionals.
- Stays current on legal and industry developments related to labor and employment laws.
- Investigates and responds to claims.
- Oversees employment litigation matters, regulatory hearings, and investigations.
- Maintains excellent partnerships with internal clients to meet their legal and business needs.
- Provides support for any other matter as may become necessary.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree - Required
- Admitted to New York State Bar, in good standing - Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in labor and employment in private practice.
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Litigation experience - Preferred
