Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the menu, specials, and reservation policies.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Assist in training new hosts/hostesses as needed.

Skills

• Previous host/host experience is preferred, with a background in food service or restaurant environments being highly beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring clear interactions with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Experience in hotel guest services can be advantageous for this role.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
