Responsibilities
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and drying processes
- Perform pet coat styling, pet grooming, nail trimming, and other grooming services with precision and care
- Restrain animals effectively using appropriate animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures, special needs, and aftercare instructions
- Assist with pet sitting and kennel duties as needed to support overall animal care operations
- Lift heavy equipment or pets when necessary to ensure efficient workflow and safety
Skills
- Proven experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with various breeds and temperaments
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns
- Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant duties is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
- Attention to detail in pet coat styling, nail trimming, and overall grooming quality
