The facility produces a first-to-market copper platform. No legacy systems. No inherited architecture. Everything you design here becomes the standard.

Greenfield automation work at this level is rare. Most mechanical engineers spend their careers patching what someone else built. Here, you own the entire controls stack from sensor selection and safety instrumentation through PLC/DCS programming, commissioning, and the data infrastructure that monitors production. You will lead front-end engineering and detailed design for a new facility producing specialty copper materials. The scope runs from translating process flow diagrams into control logic through FAT/SAT, commissioning, and deploying the data infrastructure that monitors performance. You are the technical owner of the controls stack across all production equipment.

- Lead front-end engineering and detailed design for new reactors, wet benches, blending systems, and packaging lines
- Translate process flow diagrams into control specifications and logic matrices
- Specify and configure PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA platforms across Rockwell ControlLogix, Siemens PCS 7, and Emerson DeltaV
- Develop compliant code, sequential and batch logic, alarm strategies, and historian interfaces
- Conduct FAT/SAT and commissioning activities for all new systems
- Perform safety function verification and manage SIL certifications under NFPA, UL, and IEC compliance frameworks
- Deploy OSI PI, SQL, and Python-based tools to collect data and monitor production performance metrics
- Manage automation project workstreams including scope, budget, schedule, and vendor coordination

This is a greenfield environment. The work is high-ownership and technically rewarding, but the path is not always clean. You will be specifying systems and solving problems in a facility that is still being built. If you thrive on first-principles engineering and real accountability, this role is for you. If you prefer mature, documented systems with established playbooks, it is probably not.

๐ฅ๐ฒ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ:
- BS in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8 years designing and commissioning PLC/DCS/HMI systems in chemical plants or similarly regulated environments
- Hands-on expertise with Rockwell ControlLogix, Siemens PCS 7, or Emerson DeltaV
- Knowledge of instrumentation, process-control theory, and hazardous-area classifications
- Proficiency in Python, C/C , or scripting languages

- Familiarity with vision systems and safety PLCs
- OSI PI historian experience
