Its materials are used in demanding data infrastructure, mobility, industrial, and aerospace applications where consistency and technical performance matter.

𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦

These are recurring, mission-critical materials inside electronics manufacturing. The opportunity is to protect a strong core business while moving the portfolio toward higher-value applications, better margins, and the next generation of technology.

The hiring team put it plainly: “We need someone who has managed product managers, managed a product line, and done the strategy for it.”

𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The scope is much larger than the org chart. You will lead an experienced regional product-management team while directing decisions across research and development, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance, and sales. This is a chance to run a substantial global business through strategy and influence.

The senior leader for this business was described to us as down-to-earth, exceptionally sharp, responsive, and deeply committed to the product line. The expectation is equally clear: bring a point of view, support it with evidence, and translate it into action across regions.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬

You will own the full business picture, including portfolio strategy, product roadmap, revenue, margin, forecasting, budgeting, pricing, cost management, and commercialization. You will decide where to invest, which products to improve or retire, and how to turn technical capability into measurable growth.

• Set the global strategy for a large electronics-materials portfolio

• Own profit and loss performance, forecasting, pricing, margin, and operating plans

• Lead product managers and strengthen portfolio governance across regions

• Prioritize new product development and guide launches from market need through commercialization

• Rationalize products and SKUs using customer, technical, and financial evidence

• Partner across research and development, engineering, operations, procurement, finance, and sales

• Navigate raw-material volatility, price-cost timing, inventory exposure, and working capital

• Build growth plans for high-reliability electronics applications and global customers

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗞

This is a matrix leadership role. You will not get results by relying on a large direct-report organization. The right person can influence technical and commercial teams across countries, make hard portfolio calls, and stay close enough to the details to know when the numbers are hiding a product or pricing problem.

The hiring team is looking for someone who is “strategic, not just tactical, commercially sharp, and technically fluent.” Finalists should expect a short business case presentation designed to show how they think.

𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘

If you are already leading products inside electronics, advanced materials, printed circuit board manufacturing, semiconductor materials, or a closely related market, this role offers broader ownership. You will have the mandate to connect technology, customers, portfolio choices, and financial outcomes in one seat.

𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗗

• Bachelor’s degree

• 10 years of relevant product management, product-line leadership, or business leadership experience

• Direct experience managing product managers

• Meaningful profit and loss ownership, ideally for a business or portfolio of at least $100 million

• Electronics, advanced materials, printed circuit board, semiconductor, or closely adjacent industry experience

• Success leading global, cross-functional teams through a matrix

𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗨𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦

• MBA or other relevant advanced degree

• Experience with metals economics, commodity pass-through pricing, inventory, or working capital

• Track record of launching products and retiring or rationalizing mature portfolio lines

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗦

𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆: $160,000 to $195,000

𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀: 15% annual target

𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: Medical insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, and nine paid holidays

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲: Hybrid in Piscataway, New Jersey, typically three days onsite and up to four depending on business needs

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹: Approximately 35% domestic and international travel

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: May be considered for an exceptional candidate with a credible near-term relocation plan
