Job Summary:

The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with administration, board members, state officials, and other stakeholders to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the Chief of Staff, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.


All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Moreover, they must embody the core belief that every action we take is driven by a commitment to the best interests of our students.

Primary Function:
The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in cultivating positive relationships between the school district and specific stakeholder groups, including the Board of Education, elected officials at the state and local levels, parents, students, staff, and other community partners.


This role focuses on proactive communication, advocacy, and relationship building, group facilitation, event coordination, and stakeholder development to encourage engagement, advocacy, increase public awareness, and collaborative efforts.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification Required: Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Education, or a related field is preferred.


Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, community engagement, or event coordination, in a K-12 setting is preferred.


Candidates must have established relationships, demonstrated community knowledge, and a record of stakeholder engagement within the Paulding County community.


Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in communication platforms (social media, websites, newsletters).


Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.


Ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.


Proven ability to plan and execute events that foster engagement and awareness.


Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.


Familiarity with educational systems and public-school environments, preferred.


The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.


Essential Functions:

1.


Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to cultivate positive relationships between the school district and stakeholders through engagement opportunities.


2.


Create and execute targeted engagement opportunities to increase stakeholder awareness of district operations and initiatives.


3.


Coordinate advisory groups and stakeholder events to encourage collaboration and feedback.


4.


Plan and execute stakeholder events to build awareness and support for district initiatives, including logistics, scheduling, promotion, and on-site coordination.


5.


Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to cultivate positive relationships between the school district and its stakeholders through communication opportunities.


6.


Plan, create, and distribute targeted communication, including but not limited to newsletters, website content, social media activity and email updates to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.


7.


Distribute press releases, feature stories, and targeted communications to promote district accomplishments and programs.


8.


Assist in maintaining the district’s brand identity through consistent messaging, visuals, and tone across public-facing platforms.


9.


Proactively monitor public perception, promote positive narratives, and address misinformation.


10.


Respond to inquiries from stakeholders promptly and professionally.


11.


Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to cultivate positive relationships between the school district and its stakeholders through advocacy and relationship building.


12.


Help cultivate stakeholder relationships by creating awareness of district operations, initiatives and goals.


13.


Develop materials and campaigns to build support within a variety of stakeholder groups.


14.


Advocate for the district’s priorities and programs in community and public forums.


15.


Represent the district at community events, public meetings, and other outreach opportunities.


16.


Collect and analyze feedback from stakeholders to assess engagement effectiveness.


17.


Provide regular reports to district leadership on engagement initiatives and communication efforts. Use data to inform strategies and continuously improve outreach efforts.


18.


Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
