Paula Teacher & Associates, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Lower Burrell, PA. We do offer shift differentials.
$17.00/hour plus paid training.
The Residential Staff members provide direct care to the residents by assisting with activities of daily living, assisting personal hygiene as needed, socialization, meal preparation, teaching independence throgh daily living skills such as laundry, maintaining their home, shopping and community integration based on the individual's area of interest.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Background Check (Act 34). All applicants must be willing to undergo this background check as a condition of employment, in accordance with Pennsylvania law. A criminal record does not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment; each case will be evaluated based on the nature of the offense, the time elapsed, and its relevance to the position.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Preferred experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis in a residential setting.
- TB/Physical
- Must successfully complete a mandatory on-line ODP orientation program and DHS Medication Administration training.
