GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately measure and calculate flooring dimensions for job sites.
- Assess subfloors and flooring areas to identify necessary repairs or preparations.
- Remove existing flooring materials, debris, and prepare surfaces.
- Level and clean subfloors to ensure proper installation.
- Cut flooring materials to size using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install flooring materials (hardwood, tile, carpet, laminate, vinyl, etc.) according to manufacturer guidelines and client specifications.
- Apply adhesives, sealants, or underlayment as needed to ensure durability and quality.
- Lay out patterns and designs to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Safely handle materials and ensure proper storage of tools and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with clients to discuss project details, timelines, and preferences.
- Provide professional recommendations for flooring options and maintenance.
- Inspect completed work to ensure high standards and client satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during installation.
May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support person

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a flooring installer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to different job requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel to job sites is required)

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
