We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team and play a key role in our company's success. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, analyzing costs, and preparing competitive bids. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to understand project requirements.
2. Conduct on-site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and potential challenges.
3. Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for flooring installation projects.
4. Analyze project risks and opportunities and incorporate them into cost estimates.
5. Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bids in a timely manner.
6. Collaborate with sales, project management, and procurement teams to develop comprehensive project proposals.
7. Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and clarify project details.
8. Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.
9. Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions.
10. Participate in post-bid reviews and lessons learned sessions to improve estimating accuracy and processes.
Qualifications:
1. 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction or flooring industry.
2. Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed.
3. Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs.
4. Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
7. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
9. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating.
