Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team in the metal scrap yard. This Yard Laborer position is a drain rack position and is responsible for performing various tasks related to the operation and draining of autos in the yard.
Duties
- Drain fluids from Automobiles that come into the yard, prior to sending them to the Crusher.
* Torching experience preferred
* Parts Inventory
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials Maintain equipment and facilities, including basic maintenance tasks and cleaning
- Provide support to all departments as needed
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Ability to work as a team and independently
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulations
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yards
- Proficient in basic math and computer skills
