Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drain Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and plumbing, with hands-on experience in various related tasks. This role involves working on-site to install, maintain, and repair drainage systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards. The Drain Technician will work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair drainage systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform plumbing tasks, including pipe threading and assembly.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Execute heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and equipment on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of drainage systems to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs.
- Assist in remodeling projects that involve plumbing or drainage system modifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with carpentry tasks is beneficial.
- Valid commercial driving license may be required based on job assignments.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday.
- Previous construction site experience is highly desirable.
- A background in HVAC systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
