The Scale Operator is responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing materials and material pricing. Essential functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Weigh incoming and outgoing materials, including scrap metal, vehicles, and parts
- Provide accurate pricing to customers based on weight and type of material.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and work with the yard team to ensure inventory levels are accurate.
- Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.
