The Senior Consultant, Modeling and Analytics, Life Sciences & Healthcare Consulting Group is responsible for creating client-ready project deliverables and supporting client management and practice development activities. Senior Consultants interact regularly with clients, support day-to-day project delivery activities, and are key contributors to practice development and operations as they develop an understanding of the consulting business.

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $95,300 and a maximum of $138,100 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.

- Develop strategies to solve complex challenges;
- Assist in the timely management and high-quality delivery of client projects;
- Keep up to date with local and national issues that impact our clients;
- Begin to build relationships with key client stakeholders in the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries;
- Support business development efforts (e.g., account planning, marketing) and other efforts to expand the market presence of the consulting team and the broader Paul Hastings Life Sciences & Healthcare team; and
- Support and learn about key aspects of the consulting group's practice development and other internal operations (including thought leadership, resource planning, recruiting, training, and performance management).
- Passion for being part of and helping to grow a consulting practice on a high-energy, highly collaborative team of driven, dedicated professionals;
- Solid working knowledge of how life sciences and healthcare companies are structured and operate;
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
- Foundational functional and industry knowledge associated with US and global regulatory agencies (e.g., HHS OIG, DOJ, FDA, etc.) and their respective guidelines, policies, standards, practices, requirements, and precedents (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Corporate Integrity Agreements, etc.);
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong grasp on the principles and execution of graphics-and-text-based communications/storytelling;
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (especially PowerPoint, Excel and Visio/other process mapping methodologies and tools);
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and ability to identify trends and insights that support decision-making; experience working with multiple large datasets (e.g., data summaries, damages analysis for investigations);
- Advanced knowledge of pivot tables and complex formulas in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, NESTED IF statements, etc.); and
- Experience in using visualization software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) to create dashboards, charts, and graphs that present findings clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor’s Degree/Major in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related course of study required; other post-graduate degree preferred;
- 3 years of experience working as a consultant at a consulting firm;
- Must have previous experience in financial modeling/valuation and data analytics;
- Understanding of Excel macros and SQL queries is strongly preferred; and
- Previous experience in one or more of the following areas as it pertains to life sciences / healthcare compliance risk management is preferred: patient services compliance; commercial/medical/R&D/market access compliance; fair market value assessments.
