Production Quality Control Technician-Full Time, Cicero

Paul DeLima Coffee Company, an expanding wholesale coffee roaster, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Quality Control Technician to join our team at our coffee roasting and manufacturing facility.

The Quality Control Technician plays an important role in ensuring that our coffee and production processes consistently meet company quality and food-safety standards. This position will perform quality checks and testing throughout the production process, from green coffee through finished product, while working closely with production and management teams to identify and address quality issues.

Schedule

Full-Time Middle Shift

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM–1:30 PM

Overtime opportunities may be available as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality control checks throughout the coffee production and packaging processes.
• Conduct quality testing on coffee from green beans through roasted and finished products to ensure company standards are consistently met.
• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished products for quality and consistency.
• Monitor production processes and identify potential quality issues or deviations from established standards.
• Collect, document, and analyze quality data and test results.
• Maintain accurate quality control records, reports, and documentation.
• Communicate quality concerns promptly to production and management teams.
• Assist with investigating quality issues and identifying potential corrective actions.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections as assigned.
• Follow established food-safety, sanitation, GMP, SQF, and company quality procedures.
• Help ensure production activities comply with applicable food-safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe quality-control work area.
• Work collaboratively with production and management to support consistent product quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous quality control or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing or food-production environment preferred.
• Coffee industry or roasting experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collect, interpret, and document quality data accurately.
• Experience conducting quality inspections, audits, or testing preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP, SQF, FDA requirements, and food-safety practices preferred.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and management teams.
• Ability to identify problems, communicate concerns, and participate in developing solutions.
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation required.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed
