Senior Research Analyst
Asset Management & Financial Services – Executive Search
The Opportunity
A leading global executive search and leadership advisory firm is seeking a high-performing Senior Research Analyst to join its Financial Services practice, with a focus on Asset and Wealth Management clients across North America.
This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role supporting executive search, board, and advisory engagements. You will act as a core member of client delivery teams, partnering closely with senior consultants to drive project strategy, execute market and candidate research, and produce best-in-class client deliverables. The role offers exposure to senior-level talent, complex client mandates, and a broad range of leadership advisory solutions.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong attention to detail and client service mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Project Execution
- Serve as a primary research partner on multiple concurrent executive search and advisory engagements
- Partner with consultants to define search strategy, market mapping, and prioritization of target organizations and talent pools
- Conduct rigorous qualitative and market research to identify, assess, and calibrate senior-level candidates
- Leverage internal knowledge networks, proprietary tools, and external resources to generate insights and candidate solutions
- Drive the end-to-end research workflow, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and deliverables are met
- Develop polished client-facing materials including search strategies, candidate profiles, market insights, and progress updates
- Contribute across a range of leadership advisory offerings to build a well-rounded understanding of the firm’s capabilities
Business Development Support
- Assist consultants in preparing pitch materials and customized proposals aligned to client needs
- Monitor industry trends, organizational developments, and leadership movements within Asset Management and broader Financial Services
- Support targeted business development initiatives, including event preparation, conference targeting, and relationship mapping
Knowledge & Expertise Development
- Actively contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and best-practice documentation
- Build subject-matter expertise within Asset and Wealth Management, providing insights on talent trends, market dynamics, and leadership needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of market intelligence and candidate information
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience following undergraduate studies
- Relevant experience in research, consulting, professional services, financial services, legal research, or market analysis
- Proven ability to manage multiple project-based assignments in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline
Preferred
- Exposure to Asset Management, Wealth Management, or broader Financial Services (academic or professional)
- Interest in executive search, leadership advisory, or human capital consulting
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and take ownership of complex workstreams

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
