- Clean and prepare surfaces. (Masking, grit blasting or chemical prep)
- Prepare paints. A high degree of accuracy is required. Use of viscosity cups, thickness gauges and gloss gauges to test makeup of paint and an understanding of chemistry mix of compounds is required.
- Clean work area. Knowledgeable in the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemical and waste.
- Maintain equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining paint equipment and troubleshooting.
- Experience in high-end automotive or industrial equipment paint prepping. Sign industry experience preferred.
- Painters’ only – Previous Experience painting in high-end automotive or industrial equipment environments.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment
- Other duties as required
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-production work environments
- Read, write, and speak English
- Self-motivated and work well in a team and independently
- Previous Paint Prep experience required
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May involve some repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift to 75 pounds.
- May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
- Ability to be fitted for a Respirator, both Medically and Physically
- Will be required to be certified as a Forklift Operator by Pattison ID
- Will be required to be certified as an Overhead Crane Operator by Pattison ID
- Others as deemed required by company to be safe for your role.
