Event Captain

Job description: An Event Captain at Pattern Break Brewing is not your typical event lead. They will be joining a team of creative, experienced and passionate individuals. This person has the duty of leading the event side of our business and working with our enthusiastic team of bartenders to ensure every guest feels the "Pattern Break" magic. This person is ready to be a part of something exciting and new in the craft beer industry. We believe the best beer is enjoyed when the atmosphere is as bold as the brew. We are looking for someone who doesn’t just "lead a shift," but orchestrates an experience and is passionate about curating this experience for our event guests. At the same time it is a love song to the glory days of craft beer and we aim to reestablish Boulder as a lead innovator of what craft can be.

What you will be working on:

• Directly report to the CEO
• Booking Private events for our customers
• Booking and managing in-house events
• Community liaison to help bring new events to our brewery
• Help build and lead this new taproom team with a focus on hospitality
• Promote a culture of education around product knowledge
• Provide prompt feedback regarding any performance or behavior issues
• Develop SOPs that are growth-focused for success for the whole team

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in craft beer or hospitality management
• A passion for hospitality and being apart of a team that want to go above and beyond
• Over 21 years of age
• Highly detail oriented, commitment to accuracy, problem solver
• Have pre-existing knowledge and passion for craft beer
• Passion for customer experience, hospitality and a desire to learn the Pattern Break experience
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision with a focus on accountability
• Physical Requirements: Candidate should be willing and able to lift at least 55 lbs and move 165 lbs kegs.
• Bartend for ¾ of total weekly hours within the tip pool
• ¼ of weekly hours as admin work

Job Type:Full-time. A blend of hourly, commission and tipped wage

Pay: $48,000 - $68,000 per year

Pattern Break Brewing was built by a group of experienced brewing professionals and entrepreneurs with the expectation to break many of the patterns in craft beer. Beyond this impact we are building a taproom and taproom culture to usher in the next generation of customers while also singing a love song to Boulder. Located in the closed Sanitas Brewing space, we will activate the space and the patio to bring Boulder the third space they are so hungry for.
