What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Takeout position at Patrick's Pub & Eatery?
Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Takaeout. As a Host/Takeout, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
- Greet guests as they arrive and seat them at their designated tables
- Provide menus to guests and assist with any questions or special requests
- Manage the waitlist and accurately estimate wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and lobby area
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Assist with taking call aheads and answering phone calls
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner
-Take To Go Orders and input into POS
- Pack up To Go orders and always ensure accuracy
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, but not required we will train you!
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of food service procedures and industry standards
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Professional phone etiquette
