What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pet Therapy position at Pathways Hospice & Palliative Care?
Our compassionate and well-trained volunteers work alongside our professional staff and are a vital part of the care and comfort we provide. Volunteers offer comfort, support, non-medical care and moments of joy. By nature, they are good listeners who are dependable and have a strong desire to reach out with love and concern to others.
Volunteering is a rewarding way to "give back," and a great way to connect with members of your community. Hours are flexible and you can volunteer as much or as little time as you choose in a geographical area convenient to you. Training is provided.
Pet Therapy support dogs and their owners are specially trained and certified, and foster the special connection between dogs and humans.
