Pathway Talent Partners is partnering with a well-established, industry-leading MEP construction organization to identify a Project Executive to lead major construction operations on a large-scale site in Fargo. This role is suited for a senior construction leader with full P&L ownership, strong client presence, and a proven ability to drive complex projects to successful completion. The Project Executive will play a critical role in current project execution and is viewed as a long-term operational leader for future site development.
About the OpportunityThe Project Executive serves as the senior operational and client-facing leader for the project, with accountability for safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, and team leadership. This role oversees project execution from preconstruction through closeout and partners closely with internal support teams including estimating, preconstruction, BIM/VDC, accounting, procurement, safety, quality, commissioning, and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities- Provide executive-level leadership for all jobsite operations, safety, quality, and financial performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and senior stakeholders
- Own project execution including scheduling, budgeting, GMP management, forecasting, and margin performance
- Establish safety as a core value and ensure consistent implementation across all site operations
- Oversee quality control documentation and ensure successful commissioning outcomes
- Collaborate closely with estimating, preconstruction, BIM/VDC, procurement, accounting, safety, and commissioning teams
- Develop, maintain, and review project schedules in partnership with superintendents and project managers
- Partner with the project controller on billing, cash flow, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Manage procurement strategy, fabrication schedules, and material deliveries with field and fabrication leadership
- Interpret and execute contract requirements, plans, specifications, and GMP structures
- Review and approve change orders in collaboration with estimating and project management teams
- Monitor labor productivity and weekly cash flow performance
- Lead weekly project reviews with senior leadership including the CFO, CEO, VP of Operations, and Construction General Manager
- Utilize advanced construction management tools including Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, and Last Planner System
- Conduct regular leadership check-ins across field operations, administration, fabrication, BIM/VDC, procurement, subcontractors, quality control, and commissioning teams
- Proven experience leading large-scale, complex construction projects in a senior leadership capacity
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in GMP tracking, forecasting, margin analysis, and cash flow management
- Proficiency with advanced scheduling and performance management tools (Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, Last Planner System)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple subcontractors
