About the Opportunity
Pathway Talent Partners is recruiting an Estate Planning Specialist on behalf of a well-established, independent wealth management firm with a national client base. This firm has a multi-decade history of delivering comprehensive wealth management, consulting, and planning services to high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, retirement plans, and foundations.
The Estate Planning Specialist will play a critical role in supporting advisors and clients by developing estate and business succession strategies, conducting research, reviewing planning documents, and coordinating with external legal professionals. This role is ideal for an estate planning professional who enjoys technical work, collaboration, and client education—without providing legal advice.

The Estate Planning Specialist partners closely with Wealth Advisors to help clients understand estate planning and business succession strategies and to navigate the planning process with their outside legal teams. Internally, this role serves as a key resource for estate-related matters including beneficiary designations, account titling, and transitions following a client’s death.
This role blends technical expertise, client-facing communication, and internal collaboration to ensure estate planning solutions are thoughtful, efficient, and aligned with client goals.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Advisor Support
- Educate clients on basic and advanced estate planning concepts and strategies
- Collaborate with clients’ attorneys to support the design and implementation of estate and business succession plans
- Work with trustees regarding the administration, management, and distribution of trust assets
- Provide guidance on business formation, divestiture, and succession planning concepts
Technical & Analytical Work
- Review and analyze estate planning documents and business formation materials
- Identify estate planning strategies that may help clients achieve personal, family, and business objectives
- Conduct research on estate planning and succession topics and prepare written summaries and updates
Internal Collaboration
- Serve as an internal subject matter resource on estate planning, beneficiary designations, account titling, trust structures, and business succession
- Support client service teams with estate-related account changes and post-death transitions
- Partner with advisors, client service, and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience
Additional Duties
- Perform other responsibilities that contribute to the effectiveness of the role and the organization
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 2 years of experience working with individuals on estate planning and/or business formation matters
- Strong working knowledge of estate planning strategies and business succession planning concepts

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
