Swamper / Driving Assistant – Waste Department1st Shift $25.00/HR. Position Summary:The Swamper / Driving Assistant supports the waste collection driver by assisting with residential and commercial trash and recycling routes. This role involves physical labor, working outdoors, and helping ensure routes are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the driver with waste and recycling collectionLoad, unload, and secure containers, carts, and binsRide along on assigned routes and help ensure timely route completionGuide the driver when backing up or navigating tight spacesEnsure waste is handled according to safety and environmental regulationsMaintain cleanliness of the truck and surrounding work areasInteract professionally with customers and the public as neededFollow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE usePhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs repeatedlyComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to walk, bend, climb on and off the truck throughout the shiftFast-paced, physically demanding work environmentCall to schedule phone interview 323.391.1805
