Machine Operator

We offer additional pay for different shifts and schedules, earning up to $0.25/hr. to $1.50/hr.Training Provided: We have a track record of successfully training individuals who have operated other types of machinery or possess mechanical aptitude.Career Advancement: These are Level 1 positions with opportunities to grow within the company. Clear training a career progression but mastering and learning more machines.What You Will DoYou will perform semi-skilled work operating various production equipment to manufacture and package high-quality materials. This role could operate a variety of equipment: extruders, unfolders, slitters, hose manufacturing, perforators, bag machine, winding/rewinding, reprocessing, and packaging.Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation: Set up machines based on production orders and operate equipment controls safely. Reviews work orders and follows written and oral instructions.Quality Control: Monitor material quality for defects, adjust machine parameters as needed, and prepare samples for checking.Packaging: Label, package, and wind/rewind finished products according to work orders.Safety First: Check safety stops prior to operation and maintain a clean, safe working environment.Material Handling: Obtain materials from inventory and load/unload rolls safely (<50 lbs).What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for reliable, self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced team environment.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial machinery, or construction/carpentry is preferred. Experience with film/paper rewinding is a plus, but food/bottling manufacturing or mechanic experience is also acceptable.Technical Skills: Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, or mechanical skills is highly valued.Digital Literacy: Ability to use computer systems (Microsoft Office or ERP systems) to look up work orders and formulations.Communication: Must be able to understand written/oral instructions and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand all day, lift up to 50 lbs, and be able to wear a respirator during machine setup.Company DescriptionPathway Group is a Recruitment and Staffing service dedicated to the Manufacturing Industry.
