What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Curative Specialist position at Pathfinders, inc and Careers?
We’re looking for a Curative Specialist to help ensure smooth property transactions by resolving title defects, gathering required documents, and keeping files on track for closing. You’ll work closely with lenders, underwriters, and internal teams to clear title discrepancies—like unpaid liens or ownership gaps—and communicate updates clearly throughout the process. Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Examine all available data and supporting paperwork to determine the best possible plan of action for resolving title flaws in compliance with investor requirements
- Intake title curative referrals and evaluate same for accuracy & validity
- Filing of title insurance claims, curative litigation management, preparation of curative documentation to be filed/recorded, engagement of creditors/lienholders to secure lien releases, satisfaction pieces, etc
- Facilitate clearance of various title defects as referred by our respective clients
- Submit invoices for services rendered to clients
- Other projects and duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of title/curative/default mortgage servicing or financial company experience required
- 2 years of Curative/REO/Foreclosure experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to solve problems
- Detail oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites
