We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable by tracking outstanding debts and following up with clients.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in billing and payments.
- Utilize financial software to document interactions and update account statuses.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Handle medical collections by understanding relevant regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with the medical billing team to resolve discrepancies in accounts.
- Provide excellent customer service while addressing client inquiries regarding their accounts.
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and transactions related to collections.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Experience in medical collection is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in financial software and telemarketing techniques is a plus.
- Excellent math skills for accurate account management and reconciliation.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
